Why am I getting a 402 (Payment Required) response from a free model?

Understanding Build Tiers

Once you add funds to your account, you'll be placed into Build Tiers based on your total spending:

• Build Tier 1: $5.00 total spend

• Build Tier 2: $50.00 total spend

• Build Tier 3: $100.00 total spend

• Build Tier 4: $250.00 total spend

• Build Tier 5: $1000.00 total spend

Note: Some premium models (including Flux Pro 1, Flux Pro 1.1, Flux .1 Kontext [pro], and Flux .1 Kontext [max]) are only available at Build Tier 2 and above, requiring at least $50 in total spending.

Build tier accounts operate on a pay-as-you-go model without daily limits, though minute-based rate limits still apply (up to 6000 requests and 2M tokens per minute for language models).

If you're trying to use premium models and getting a 402 error despite having credits, check your current tier in your billing settings.
